Announcement: “Public policies and water justice in the light of financialization of water”

As part of the celebration of the World Water Day, which the United Nations celebrates every March 22, the Network for Public Access to Water (Red Agua Pública – RAP) organizes an event called “Public policies and water justice in the light of financialization of water”. This event will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., in Madrid, in the Ernest Lüh hall of the Congress of Spain, and Pedro Arojo, UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights to drinking water and sanitation, and Iva Marković, founder of the Right to Water initiative, a member of the People’s Movement for Water, will speak at it, among others.

The goal of this event is to shed light on the connections between water and the economy, especially the processes of commercialization and financialization, the importance of which was highlighted in the reports of the last UN special rapporteurs for human rights to drinking water and sanitation.​​
